OK, this might be getting said a lot by me but it still needs shouting about and its still very very appreciated.

No its not a rant about redstuff pads :wack:

Yes it is thanks to all those who helped the SXOC and in particular me in competition over the weekend.

Massive respect first to Buffy, an immense amount of effort to make sure BigTones car was ready for TOTB :notworthy Same goes for Si Norris & his staff  Thanks, wouldnt have been the same without the car running :notworthy

I'm sure Purple/white/pearlpower/Jay and Figjam/Tom also have people who without there help wouldnt have been ready for TOTB, thanks to them also  :sxoc: :notworthy

And, now to my thanks.
Sometimes a mate will take a day off work to help you, but when your mate is the gaffer, and has staff, when he takes a day off the whole business closes.

Thursday night I got home after working on Mine and Yaks car somewhere shortly after 3am .... of course before that I was at DCMS ... so it was also about that time Graham will ahve gone to sleep.

Friday I finished work, got home to throw some fish and chips into my belly before being picked up by Graham in the DCMS tonka truck, with a 17 foot trailer on the back of it and my car strapped in place. Graham had taken over 2 hours out of his afternoon to collect said trailer  2 hours that he could have been earning money fixing cars.
I was then chauffered to Glasgow, and we picked up Yak and Marty to join our convoy somewhere around the Scottish border. Theres 4 of us in the truck, Grahams apprentice Jamie and Nismo "technology bitch" Pete with lap-top, performance boxes for me and Yak to help us maximise our speed.

We grabbed a few hours sleep at Marty's mums house :notworthy Thanks  (sorry about leaving some down from my sleeping bag on the sofa  )

Up early and off to Knockhill, DCMS isnt closed that often on a Sat, and when it is its so Graham can have fun. Last Sat it was closed, so that I could have support at Knockhill, thats a big sacrifice and I'm very grateful :notworthy

I should have shown my gratitude with a stonking performance, however I drove like an old woman  Sorry  NOT how to repay other peoples efforts  At least Yak was on fine form  although Graham did have to bend Yaks car back into shape, he did that good of a gob at aligning the car by eye it didnt effect Yaks speed at all !!!!!

No rest for the wicked and once the event is over (9pm) we are back travelling south, I am able to sleep in the pickup, but Graham has over 4 hours of driving ahead of him.

Travellodge at 1:30 and alarms are set for 6am, back on the road and we get to TOTB for 9am after another 2 hours driving.

While I'm signing on & attending the briefing Graham is sorting the car into TOTB trim, no rest for him, or Jamie and Pete as they are off helping Mike on the K-sport stand as I cant ...

I managed the best thanks I could by being straight on the pace at the handling course, thank FOOK !!!!!

Of course Graham, Pete and Jamie were on hand all day to check the car over, swap tyres, and even push it in the Q !

Thanks guys, I couldnt have managed the weekend by myself, driving all the way up and down the country and doing all my own mechanicing. VERY much appreciated.

I think I left Apex @ 8pm, after the Van was unloaded. Graham deserved to go home a few hours earlier, was at Bridgets by 9 and she cooked me a nice Pork steak :D I got home around half-midnight I think.

Yes I was knackered :wack:

Graham had to be up and out of his house by about 6:20am this morning to get the trailer back to the rental for 8am  More efforts I forgot to mention :notworthy

Cheers Si for your help in loading the K-sport stall back into the van at the end of the day  And Mitch too

Too right. The amount of work un packing, packing and fixing my car by the DCMS crew was totally unexpected but very gratefully appreciated. :notworthy :notworthy :notworthy Gave me plenty of time to concentrate on give the car a good caininng round Knockhill which was very satisfying
I think they appriciated my wee bit of showboating on my cool down lap :D
