Mumbles Raft Race!

Well I'm in the raft race again this year, this time with a pile of guys from work. We've built a raft from aircon ducting, unistrut, school chairs and some random other bits :) She's a minter, way better than your "strapped barrel" type rafts so we're hoping to do well (assuming we dont sink lol).

as barry said its 1130 kick off, but mumbles is going to be insane so i'd aim to be a bit earlier ;)


Dan - it floats ok ;) Its an 'evolution' of the raft that came second in last years race. Basically we were given what was left of it and rebuilt it whilst fixing the problems they had last year so i'm hopeful its going to work out just fine hehe. it is massive though... 3.5m wide and 8m long :o Worst part is to finish the race (2miles and a bit) you have to carry the raft up the slip which is about 25m of 45degree slippy concrete :wack:


Just painted over the fibreglass bits now so its back to one colour - got a crease/split in the side to weld and seal and then do a bit of work on the trailer that caused the split, bolt the seats back on (8 of) and then apply the signwriting :D

I had enough egg's thanks! Including an evil hard boiled one thats put a large dent in my arm haha :)
