Jeesh I'm getting on a bit now.

Out in the garage last night faffing about with my restoration project (the merc)

Decided to stick the radio on

Tuned into Kiss 100

About 10 minutes in and the DJ says:

"Yeah yeah big shaaart aaart to all da ayes massif listenin to da show it bling blingin real an style"

And, I know I'm old now because after I thought to myself;

"What the feck did he just say?"

I honestly hadn't got a clue

And I'm an old raver at 26!!

Someone please explain what 'BLINGIN" is....

I am 30 next week.

And I never was a raver.

Which means I am feeling REALLY old, 'cos I am beginning to abandon even Radio 1 for the same reason, and move to Radio 2... and 4!!!

Me too, been listening to radio 2 for a couple of years now, only 30 too,

It really sunk in how old I feel when I helped out my mate in his pub last week, didn't think anybody looked over 18 and kept refusing to serve them without ID!

I suppose you're only as old as the woman you feel so I'm really only 20 then ;) :D

Did anyone start to feel a bit old when page three girls became younger than them! I remember being at uni, just turned 20, "reading" a copy of the sun, with an 18YO staring at me, and thinking, god, she's two years yonger than me!

All is put into perspective when i am still asked for ID when buying a drink, and i'm 22, now a compliment, not an insult!

im only 22 as well, i dont listen to the radio tho, they dont play enough gangsta rap and hip-hop :(

yeah me too, pity they got rid of JY though. radio 4 good for the today prog. and womans hour. cant beat the archers tho 2pm

Bling bling is jewellery, so I guess if you're in a blingin' style then you have jewellery on.

I'm 33 btw, my mom says it's about time I grew up......I don't like grownups though.
