Damn it's incredible, very short so can be read in less than half hour...

Flat out, Flat broke by Perry Mcarthy is interesting too

Have read both :)

However "Mr Nice" By Howard Marks, is fantastic :)

Must go buy that and read it again. I must have finished it in a couple of days, just couldnt put it down :)

Hmmm....read it once, bought the book...havent picked it up since :S Musta liked it at some stage, since I bought it - obviously my tastes have changed since then :(

The second Uplift trilogy by David Brin. I liked this.

Across Realtime by Vernor Vinge. Also pretty good, easier to follow (I think) than the Uplift saga

May I take this opportunity to heartily recommend 'Mr.Tickle' by (the late) Roger Hargreaves.

Pure genius and can be read within a few hours.

He has many other publications too which I would also urge you to consider.:p

Science of the Discworld 2 is great as well, a combination of funny story, and the history of science and technology through the ages :)
