Tyres again

My mate is about to purchase a new set of rims for his *ahem* Rover, the choices for tyres are:


Size: 215 45 17

Nankang - no extra cost
Avon - extra £50
Falken FK451 - extra £70
Uniroyal
Yokohama - extra £120
Toyo - extra £150

Anybody got any recommendations as to what to go for? I reckon the Yoko's but I seem to remember that they wear pretty quickly.

I had the Falken FK-451's and was dead impressed for the price.

I can't imagine a Rover needing Yoko's or Toyo's ;)

The Toyo's at that price are ridiculous! They ought to be cheaper than the Yoko's, or the same price.

Don't touch the Avons!

Falkens are great for the money
, I've got the 512's (replacement for the 451) on the rear of my MR2 Turbo and they're sopt on.

What sort of Rover is he putting 17's on then??
