leave them black? IMHO it looks rubbish - is it because the paint won't hold to them or something?

To show it off, paint will stick. Or at least the right kind of paint or primer.

Agree in principle. Not if you live in Cardiff though as people will think you are a taxi  ;)

yep. i agree it looks sh1t.
white car, black bonnet will just result in people shouting at you "hey mister been down the scrappies have you? couldn't afford to paint it eh?"
the ferrari f40 is entirely carbon fibre panels... they painted them (admittedly thin, so you can see the shape of the weave!)
its all a matter of taste i suppose.

I love the look of carbon fibre, especially when the sun catches the different weaves and turns a lighter colour - kinda looks like flippy paint..... if you know what I mean.

Depends on the car - on some it can give a real "race-spec" look, like with those adjustable spoilers - on others, it can look a little dodgy - I have seen a carbon bonnet on an old shape Rover 214 - PML :D
As for you JB, OI! ;)
I reckon my car will look ****e with a black bonnet. I would probably spray the roof black too, rather than spray the bonnet red, if that makes sense?
