A certain aircraft manufacturer is presently having drinks machine problems, now doesnt this smack as office prank gone too far!

The vending machine has now been switched back on by Sodexho but the source of the
problem has not yet been identified.
The incident that Sodexho are investigating relates to two large metal staples
being dispensed with a Chicken Soup. I am aware that there may be other instances
of bits of metal being dispensed with drinks last Thursday, but, without the cups /
evidence, there is nothing that can be done to investigate those occurences.
The position from Sodexho is that the metal staples originate from 1 of 4 sources :
-
The soup powder canister
The cups
The vending machine itself
The "customer"
The soup powder production line, by law, has a metal detector so it is thought
unlikely that the soup powder is the source. Further, initial investigations have
shown the staples to be clean of debris.
The cup manufacturer also has a metal detector on the production line. Also, there
are doubts about teh chances of 2 staples being in 1 cup in a daily production of
over 5 million cups.
The engineer who looked at the vending machine could not identify the staples as
being part of the vending machine.
The staples have been sent away to the Sodexho Laboratory for further analysis. In
the meantime, Sodexho have decided to switch the machine on again but with soup
disabled.
It is now your own individual judgement as to whether or not you wish to use the
machine whilst the further analysis takes place.
