Right guys theres been a bit of 2ing and froing here so this is wat i suggest.
WEDNESDAY the 5th of FEB. 8pm at BRUCEFIELD FARM Brewers Fayre, Livingston.

This is next wednesday so can we get this organised a bit boys cos thats bout a week and a half of fooking about weve had since the last meet.
I can go on the Wednesday but wont be able to stay as late as b4 cos im working at 11:30pm, but ill stay till probs 10;45.

But both Gee and Nobby (as i understand it) will be able to go if we switch to the wednesday.

after this one it will be back to the 1st thursday of every month if everyone agrees?

I dont wanna sound like wat i say goes, cos im not the ringleader or anything, just trying to get this kickstarted.

Anything u guys wanna add then feel free.

Infact y dont u say which days u can come?
Im attaching a poll and im gonna make it multi-option.
If u can come on the monday, tuesday, wednesday and thursday then click them all, if not then just click the ones u can come on.
This poll will run until.........saturday.

If u cant come at all on any day then dont click anything.
btw Dunc, thats a poor excuse, bring the feckin Nova, everyone knows u got it anyway.

I may be coming in my ma's beemer if I can't source a suspension for my '2 soon. It's been on axle stands for a week and a half now with no suspension :(

Think I'm getting Toyota shocks later this week and I've already got a set of Eibach springs on their way to me to lower / stiffen it slightly. Be just my luck that they don't arrive in time for the weekend tho for me to put the car back together!

LOL, At this rate there will be more beemers at the meet than Jap cars! More of a German car meet :(

Dobergoose, didn't see the other post. If you bring it to the meet I'll buy it off of you. It might be just the motovation I need, that and turning up to the Jap car meet without a Jap car :o

Cheers,

Dunc.

Also,

Gee, if you can make it and bring my fuel pump I'll have no excuse for not having the 200 on the road

That would be great.

Thanks guys,

Dunc.

Steve has just PM'd me back guys.
Spookily enough he had suggested this to Keith just last night, so the idea is a go-er, we will have our own little bb section.

Kev

Ps Brian wat happent to the mr's suspension?

Nothing happened Kev, I knew I needed some rear shocks since I got it and decided to do the whole lot the weekend before last. Took all 4 shocks and springs off and have been trying to source decent replacements since. Looks like Toyota Bilsteins and Eibach Pro-Kit springs now so long as Toyota can get them for me quickly.

Martin u ok for 7:30?
And Gee with his pocket rocket.

fao anyone who is interested, dont bother ur @rse trying to race Gee, his pulsar is scarey fast, on acceleration i guarantee it would leave all of us standing, unbelieavably grippy where mine would just spin.

btw Brian, i made the mistake of logging in while Kimberley was in this time last night, got ur PM,  thank fook she was looking the other way, quick scrammble to switch screens lol.

Dunc u gonna link up with Kenny?

Anyone else coming?

I told Crail loser about this guys, he posts on the strathycruise site, but dont hold that against him, cos both me and Gee have heard only good things about his place in Wishaw, called "the garage"
ws:- http://www.intervene.co.uk/2125/customers_nissan.htm

And as thunder says mate, its a jap meet, not just 200's, there is a post about it on jap meets also.

Well thanks for the free plug m8 but thats not what it was about.

I just heard of an all Jap meet in Scotland and it put a big ole smile on my face, many of you may know me, we prolly my car not me, from Crail or Knockhill. It is the Skyline GTSt that used to be red with gold wheels but is now kinda goldy/pinky flip paint.

If you know me then you know this, its about the cars first not buisness. Anyway looks like most of you guys are well sorted......its me that will be asking you guys :-)

Looking forward to meeting you all, prolly just be me and a 300ZX, 200SX maybe the MX5 with NoS, the GTiR is out of action after chewing up its 4th gearbox :( but with a Quaife box in the pipeline hopefully all will be well again with it.

Thanks

Marc

Every-single-time u overtook me and came back into lane there was a flame, most of the time it was bout a foot or so, but there were a few that were a good 2 or 3 ft, looked feckin great:D :D :D :D
The guy in the astra must have shat himself when u overtook him and spat that huge flame at him just b4 Motherwell.
Would have loved to see his face :D

Cant wait till u get ur DV fitted now.
btw, u seemed muuuuch faster than me, i know im only on 7 or 8 psi but i expected there to be less in it.
How much mileage u gettin for yer go go juice?

Jonny real sorry u couldnt make it bud.
Give me a shout when u wanna pick up the zorst and expansion bottle.
Hope u feel better soon.

Was good to meet Matt and Dave, didnt really get to speak to the other guys, will need to arrange the tables a bit better next time so we arnt all seperated, thats if u guys are still interested in a regular meet?

No worries mate, TBH after sitting in my Dad's back garden for probably 6 months its well scabby cause its not a Stainless one :( On the bright side the pipe seems to be the same diameter as normal (maybe?) so you could probably just chuck the back box on and see how that goes.

BTW Thunder wins the best icy carpark dounuts competition, as me and my girlfriend sat freightened in the car getting circled posessed 200sx's and mr2's! It was like something out of mad max

You got loads of little flames but every now and then there'd be one about a foot round. Every time I flashed you there was a flame.
I think I'm running about 14 psi but remember I still got the standard intercooler, which also means I've no cold air feed for my K & N.
I put 20 quids worth of optimax in and it was nearly all gone by the time I got home.  so not so good, though I reckon that we must have averaged 120mph all the way along your private motorway that looks like the M8.;)
The astra was good timing. Nobody seems to tailgate me these days:D :D

Dunc, he means the little thingy beside the doo wat, just below the thingy me bob, with the two watsits going into it.
I removed the two watsits from the thingy under the thingymebob and joined them together.

Martin, dunno really tbh, not that much differance at all.
Btw i just put in another £40 after doing around 140-160 miles:( :( :(

Need to sort this out NOW

Davei (the guy who appeared last night) if ur looking in here, ive pm'd Steve C about ur prob and he says that Ben Taylor has put a bar on them cos of the back log they have just now, but ive passed on ur e-mail addy, and he says he will mail u bout it.

JonnySpeedbump
10-02-2003, 01:00
Mike,
I got the voucher for my Birthday, I think it cost around £65....? Anyways for that you can either go on the Skid control course (as I did) or take your own car on the circuit for an hour, of which 20 mins is tutored by an instructor. You don't require a helmet for either course (I think Knockhill provide one for the latter).
The skid course lasted about two and a half hours, two hours of which you're on the skidpan but sharing that with two other members of joe public. We started in a cavalier (FWD) which was... educational but the real fun was in the RWD Sierra, deliberately swinging the back end out (and then controlling it) in a figure of eight course :D.
Definately worth the money and I learned loads.

U mean the Primera GT?
Guy seemed to be pretty sensible, not trying to overtake on blind corners, not doing silly things, and waiting for a clear road b4 booting it.

Had great fun, but wondered y he didnt give me the pleasure of the last blast b4 my cut off at the dc after the M8.
Also very glad his breaks seem to work.
Tell "dangerous Dave" he is a top man.
Cheers Mark

Its actually the "New Car Scent" I spray inside it m8, all em car nuts find it irresistable :-)

Kev, Dave wasnt sure where you were going to turn off but he did mention you car had an unexpected "burst of power" in 5th.

Well no actually what he said was "the bugger must have turned the boost up on the last run cos it left me" lol

We all tend to "enjoy" our driving to the max and I will be shocked if you ever have any reason to condem our driving. We have all owned very powerfull cars for sometime now and have learned to respect not just our cars but the drivers and cars that we meet as we drive.

Me and Dave and a few others will sometimes drive in very close formation and sometimes what would seem inapropriate for the roads. However we have driven together for a long time and know each others abilitys and style, you do tend to find however that we will give most others the space and respect they deserve.

Its much better to get a wave and a grin from someone that has enjoyed the experiance as much as you have than to intimadate, frighten or anger the other driver.

Totally agree mate, infact i kinda wondered if he was having a laugh or was well pissed when he drew along side near shotts, looked over and the passenger gave the thumbs up, so i was happy.

Cant turn the boost up in car im afraid, only under bonnet, but i was kinda playing most of the time, and i wondered if he was gearing down when he had bursts of acceleration, i stayed in 5th cos im lazy (and didnt wanna kill it, (or wake up the two passengers))
But it was bloody quick, is it the standard 150bhp GT, or does he have a few tweeks?

Used to own a primera, and was the best handling car ive had at high speed, the 200 tends to get a bit light on the steering above 90:eek:

What does he post under in Strathy, or is it ss-r u know him from?

btw "new car" scented smelly tree's were always the best :)

Yeah its standard its his mums car, he owns the GTiR with all the HKS goodies, we are just waiting on the Quaife gears coming in and it will be back on the road after 5 standard GearBoxes, lol

He never posts on strathy just SS-R and then not often, DangerousDave is the name he usually goes by. I have known him for years, get to see him every day Kev he works with me m8  :p

Oh thanks for getting the name right ......... well almost

Just bring it with you, if its adjustable the first thing I will be doing is checking the fuel pressure any way.

You will need to phone and book in however m8, sorry but its chaos central and unless you book in its a long wait :(
