Anyone suggest a way to do this? I had a program before that did this, but when I wanted to receive a fax, I had to know it was incoming and press a button within the program itself.

I'm using Blueyonder too, so would I need to connect the 56k modem again and plug a normal phone line in or is there a way round that?

Cheers oh IT gods:)

Winfax Pro is good, unless like me your PC is shagged and panics every time the phone rings.... it works on normal lines...

Alternatively, a prg called FaxNow by RedRock is good for businesses as you can set up many users simultaneously

2000 or XP have Fax Services , you will need to add them from the add/remove windows components windows menu.

And you will need your modem.

I use Redrocks FaxNow. It's easy to use. If you've got Outlook why not use the fax facility on that. Don't use it myself so don't really know if it's any good.

im with C. on this.

plus this is the way we have it setup

we had to use a separtate 56k fax linked to our server and plugged into an analog line using the fax service.

we don't use it to recieve faxes tho

Cheers all, think I'll take the easy route and just buy a fax machine:)

Anyone got advise on where to go for a cheapo one?

Argos (http://www.argos.co.uk/webapp/commerce/command/ExecMacro/ols-subcgry-nocache.d2w/report?type=category&cgmenbr=6970&cgrfnbr=775329) do a few, get a plain paper one though :)
