OK, there there are a number of bods here that attend Unis/know people who attend Uni.

If any of you are on psychology, know people who are on psychology courses or can get hold of a psychology person, then i really really want to be experimented on.
(No, not like that)

I'm talking about total sensory deprivation research. I would be happy to travel and not get paid for it (don't uni depts usually put a little aside for ther test subjects). Buy a round of drinks with the moeny or summat...

ANy one able to help?

They kinda did it here a while back while my Ex missus was studying Psychology here, wasn't total sense deprivation, but sleep and light and messed up the clock cycle for a month or 2.

One girl committed suicide just after she got out.

That doesn't suprise me too much.
I am looking more for the complete deprivation - light, sound, smell, touch as an experiment into my perceptions of the world... or something like that anyway

you've seen 'altered states' then?

I'm quite into the idea of taking aloads of acid then being put in a senseless environment for a while to see what exactly the mind would do with out any stimulii like sounds, light etc.

Wouldn't do it staight, no fun in that.

Be interesting to do it straight and on the trip, just to see the difference...

In a way, I think straight would be more interesting, becasue the mind amplifies stuff anyway. Have you ever been in a pitch black room and had lights dancing in your eys? Over had your senses overcompensating?

If anyone knows anyone...... I'm up for it!
Wonder if i should write to the universities?

LOL :D

People pay thousands of pounds for Sensory Deprivation Chambers - and theres you saying you dont expect to be paid !!!

Honestly mate I imagine if such trials were running anywhere there would be a queue a mile long to have a go.

It's a great interrogation technique as well. Total screws people up.
