just washed the car the other day and noticed that there is alot of tar all off the sides and rear of car
whats the best thing to remove it?? i've heard that autoglym you have to keep rubbing and it's still hard to remove, is there anything that takes it off easily without damaging your paintwork?
Clay bar works a treat
halfords bug and tar remover?
autoglym tar and glue remover is the business - but the area needs a good clean after and best to polish it too
Clay bar works a treat
I use Meguiars clay bar with a quick detailer. Works a treat.
WD40 will get it off a treat.
AG tar remover isn't too shoddy, but as said above, give the car a decent polish after, because it strips away a lot besides tar and tree sap

Another vote for AG tar remover here, leave it soak for a few minutes and you won't have to rub too much.
As has been said already you need to wash the area off after and then polish to protect the paint.
Petrol on a soft cloth, it just disolves the tar- but DO NOT go mad rubbing hard !! And remember to wax the area after the tar/ petrol has been removed...
I found that most of the comercial tar removers are as good as just normal car polish!
Autogylm is probably the best that I've found- it's kinda like petrol, I haven't tried WD40 but will give it a go!
Sonax Hard-wax if you have it over there
