How many attempts did it take to pass your driving test?

Passed 2nd time and after 14 lessons :)

Failed on the first for the reverse round a corner, it was up hill, and had been raining, but the sun had com out again. The sun reflected off the road and I didnt see a car until it was apparently "too late"

Second test was 6 minors I think :D

Passed first time, but nearly failed. Had made a complete balls up of the emergency stop, and one the way back to the test centre so silly bastard pulled out of a parking space right in front of me. Result, perfect emergency stop. :D

Taught Hayley to drive, but I'll let Hayley go into details on that  , she did pass first time though, and in our Capri

Passed first time even thought when the examiner told me to turn left I actually went right.

I so so full of flu that I really had no business behind the wheel of a car, but the examiner was just as bad so he let me off :D

3 for me. First time my fault - complete balls up.

Second time really p1ssed me off. It was 6 months after first test during which time I had been driving constantly and felt extremely confident about test. I was sitting at a roundabout at 5.30 in summer - busy as hell. Saw a gap behind a bus so as it was level with me I started to move forwards slowly - BANG goes breaks on dual control -

"you were going to hit the bus!!"

"No I wasnt, I was getting ready to nip in behind it"

"Dont tell me how to drive lad!"

"Dont tell me what I was going to do you muppet"

etc. etc.

3rd time 7 minors :D

Third time for me, first attempt failed for reversing round the corner and being 1ft away from the curb (the road was that wide both sides were 1ft off a curb!!) the second time I failed for speeding on a 30 limit (included going round roundabouts above the limit) :D

First time, mixture of thinking i knew what i was doing (been driving since i was 9!) and sheer fright.

Second time, just failed when a lorry cut me up, b@stad!

Third time, passed with flying colour, only two minors.

Conspiricy theory:

First time: Stuck up woman instructor,
Seconds time: " " "
Third time: really cool bloke who could believe i had failed before........

Women, your days are numbered:D i'm watching ya........

1st time for me too. Had 8 lessons in 7 weeks and passed with 6 minors. Had driven off road a few times before but nothing major. I just picked it up very quickly as I used to watch the way my dad drove, so I knew pretty much knew how to drive a car. Its just everyone else getting in your way most of the time.

Cheers,

Richard

Past first time but had the advantage of learning to drive when i was 9

Cant remember how many minors but i did annoyingly stall the car 3 times on the test doing the parallel park and that was the only time i ever stalled the bloody instructors car in the 2 weeks i drove it. Bloody Kia Pride, lol

Did the same and clicked 5!!!!! but passed first time, with so many minors I think they guy had to pass someone to reach his quota or something! I actually mounted the kerb (twice) on reversing round the corner because of nerves. I had done it perfectly before the test:mad: Can't believe I passed....

At least I wasn't the only one subjected to a bloody Kia! Where's the pride in that? Huh? Huh? All my friends got Golfs, even Corsas. At I had a bloody Queer PRide with an ugly gay driving instructor with a stupid laugh and bad taste in jokes.

Passed first time, both on theory and practical at the age of 17
I got 2 minors. I think.

One was doing a 3 point turn, chugged back a little, not enough revs, and the second was on gears. I was doing 65 down a dual carriage way and was in 4th gear:rolleyes: (corsa 1.2, 5 speed)

Only had 17 lessons (1/2 hr per lesson) and have never driven a car b4 that.:)

The first car I was insured on was a Citroen BX16RE with a newly 1.6i 16v engine replacement. learnt to drive in that.
the suspension thing was wierd but fun when you can adjust handling, well you could with this one;)
wrote it off within 6 months, due to suspension going haywire.:(

Passed the 1st time but the bitch failed me.

Failed the 2nd time and the bloke passed me! And I did the test in a blizzard (no sh!t). If the car had broken down I would've phoned for huskies, not the AA :D :D :D
