Whats the best way to prep front & rear bumpers? I want to take mine off and give them a bit of tlc prior to respray but not really sure whats the best way, there is no damage to them other than a few scratches and paint flaking off.

I was thinking wet & dry 400 grit, sanding back not quite to plastic but taking most of the paint off. Does that sound ok?

Is there anything like sandblasting but for plastics?

400grit will takes weeks and a hell of a lot of elbow grease  You'll need something a little more course (240grit?) to get the flaking paint and laquer off. Use the 400 grit to finish the job off before painting. A decent high build primer should take care of most of the smaller scratches.

I picked up 240 as well just incase - I'll give that a try. Cheers

I'd still be interested if anyone knows of anything like sand blasting but for plastic?
