ok rember seeing a step by step guide to repiring stone chips on here , there was a guy with a purple bm , any one got the linky??

you ive added it to mine now, im just bit lost why he polished it then clearcoated? is this right?

i guess so. after all you would want the paint to be as shiny as possible before the clearcoat. the next time its pollished it will just be the clear coat thats pollished

Never Never Never Never polish a basecoat. The base is best dull to improve adhesion of the clear. I won't look at the link for fear of laughing myself silly if thats what the advice is.
1: Remove debris and corrosion.
2: Fill with basecoat and allow to dry.
3: As above until almost level with surface.
4: Apply clear.
5: Apply more clear until raised above surface, flat and polish when cured.

Stonechips can also be remedied with Nail Varnish. ;)

Nail varnish is available in a myriad of colours and has been used for years. I work in the motor trade ;)
