Well, just had my Sunday morning debate with the JWs, gotta love em.

I just so much enjoy it when it's them asking to leave, because you've completely stuffed them in a debate, told them that they have no idea about what the bible really means, that the bible is too long and that they should be using their time talking about something else.

"Sorry, haven't got time to talk - have to dash off for to give blood."

Just be careful as they are getting a lot smarter these days. I was washing my car one saturday morning and two men in duffel coats were offering me a free science magazine, I said sure I love science. Once they'd gone I realised who they were. They've probably short listed me as a potential recruit now ;)

Well I allowed them to have their little speach, got them to tell me what they were trying to explain to me, then proceeded to prove to them that:
1. They'd come to talk to me about the wrong subject
2. They should be using their time to talk about another subject (because it was more important that what they were trying to talk to me about)
3. That the bible is a historical data source and could be summarised on a single piece of paper so that it's easy to understand by the masses and less educated

I usually find that after embarrassing them on my doorstop, that they never waste my time again.

I cant remember, What is it that JW 's believe in?

I find all of these different things that people believe in quite interesting as I dont have any beliefs of my own.

I Get pissed off though when people tell you that you should believe in their religion....:mad:

Must say I've never had a problem with JWs. Tell them politiely you're not interested and off they go.

We don't generally tell people they should believe in or religon. The reason we go door to door, is that we believe we have news that is important to people. If you are not interested in that news then tell us and we will go away. We want to talk to people whoe are interested, not waste our time with people who are not. Its not an easy job - we don't get paid for doing this, so if your not interested just say.

Knocking on my door, getting me out of bed and or interuppting whatever I was doing to try and preach the ways of the Lord is not 'living and letting live', I've got no objection whatsoever to anyone beleiving in anything they like just don't try to impose your beliefs on others. If I want to learn about Jehova or any other religion then I'll get off mr @rse and find out for myself thankyou very much.
