I have just bought a Silvia S12 2.0i 16v DOHC and body wise it is immaculate. Engine runs fine, etc. Interior needs sorting!

Once I have restored it to perfection, has anyone any idea how much it would be worth? Only 400 were ever made if my memory serves me correctly...

Can it be turbo'd as well...? :D:D:D

Any info on this model would be appreciated!

Last months bazai or Jap performance car ran a story on one that had been restored.

Worth getting a copy.

if it's the FJ20, then turbo'd version were released but not in UK.
Very very good engine, better that CA or SR, but will need work to make it suitable for a a turbo, low comp pistons, there may be other differences too.

The car is a B reg, 96k miles on the clock, absolutely immaculate, running fine. The engine is the 2.0i 16v DOHC FJ20E.

Would love to know what it is worth! Also would it decrease the value if I fit elec windows & mirrors to it....

Test drove one when they were first released. Then bought a 1.8 turbo. If anything the twincam was faster.

You wouldn't like a genuine Nissan workshop manual would you?

Try here (http://www.club-s12.org/) full of americans overly excited about 170bhp out of their CA18ETs but heh you can't have everything. More and more realistic people joining the board including brits aussies and kiwis. Also a (sparsely populated) section on the FJ20E and FJ20ET generally from kiwis who own genuine version RS-Xs - Some nice pics

Ben

p.s. Is there enough interest for an S12 - Technical section yet?

A bit more info on the motor here (http://www.turbocreations.com/fj20/engine.html)

Doesn't look bad at all, I've no idea what it'd be worth though.

It'd cost heap's to turbo the motor and TBH I think it'd be much more fun as a lightweight track car with the stock 150+ hp :)
