Toast, with lots of melted salty butter and a big mug of tea...yum!
Being stoned helps too...not that I do...

Toast and tea is fooking ace!!

Esp when Warburtons Thick Sliced Bread, and 3 sugars in tea.

Have a day off on the sick and you can easily do 10+ slices and about a gallon of tea.

Well, when a mate and I used to share a pit..err...house, we used to buy bread every week. 2 loaves. One loaf would get turned into toast while we both zoned out on the PCs, whereas the other loaf would get put in the 25 quid stainless steel breadbin and abandoned.

A week later it would get thrown out unopened as we bought back two new loaves from the shop.

We barely ever started the second loaf and NEVER finished it.

It was officially our sacrifice to the GREAT MOULD GOD. The in joke became that if we sacrificed a loaf a week on the silver alter, then the god of mould would not kill us from food poisoning from all the other junk we ate and our casual attitude towards 'best before' dates.

Six month out of date tins were accidently consumed on many occassions. 3 month old malt loaf once. Mould was scraped off bread often. Crates of year out of date booze was drunk at least 3 times. On one occassion a cup of lemsip was made and drunk with kettle descaler (vomiting blood follwed later).

Ah great days :)

Sounds like fun mate ;)

Beer is good for at least 6 months after the use by date btw, so if you get offered cheap beer out of date, buy it, it's still good :)

Oh yes! Second only to Sainsbury's uncut loaves which you can cut as thick as you like - about 10 slices from 1 loaf here:)
