View Full Version : ATTENTION!!! Dorking RR day CANNED
Right
You ungrateful little swines, I spend all day negotiating with motorvation to get us RWD boys a whole RR session to ourselves, and then
NO BUGGER WANTS TO GO
'cept Tim & Stazza
So, I can't be arsed now.
Ringing Motorvation on Monday to cancel
Tsk - kids these days, don't know they've been born etc
when I was gassed by the Hun in 1916 I didn't have no fancy rolling roads... We had to make do wi an industrial trouser press and a tub of tripe to measure our corrective flywheel power figures blah blah
WAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH HHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH HHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH :(

:( I was looking forward to seeing your Merc screaming for mercy :(
If I'm gonna run a 16 year old factory hard tuned car on the dyno - why can't you lot all bring yer Nissans?

and i'd booked the day off too
Oh FFS....
Right.
I won't can it then.
But fer chrissakes - we're gonna look a right bunch of muppets booking a whole day for just two cars to be run whilst every other twerp stands around looking useless.
CAN I HAVE SOME SODDING COMMITMENT PLEASE!!!!
I tentatively posted the idea, and got loads of 'yeah I'm up for that'
Now only two people are putting their money where their mouth is.
Tim & Stazza - thank you for actually sticking with your word.
Where's Dorking? Feckin miles from Bristol init? :(

dunk, its not your fault mate, i can always find something else to do on my day off, anything is better than working
I might be up for that it`s just by then i might break their rollers:eek: :D I`m going down there tomorrow for them to have a look at my car and see if they can handle it and maybe do a power run;)

Sorry dude, but they have'nt exactly sold it to us by telling us it's innacurate above 350hp have they?...and for £30 odd quid...You can go to Power engineering for £50 and there rollers are spot on....I'll come and watch if it's any consolation ;)
Oh bladdy hell!!!!
What a bunch of women you are!!!
Motorvation told me that anything more than 350bhp was a guestimate (as it is on a lot of RRs) and they weren't comfortable taking peoples money for something more totally accurate.
Sell it to you?
I'm a bladdy Salesman by trade! I shouldn't have to sell the concept of standing around with a load of other RWD nutters talking cars and running up on the dyno - just to see who's making what.
I think Motorvations honesty, plus my decency in not hyping up the event (which was always going to be low key event) would have counted for more with you hard bitten tuning types
*Banging head against wall*
WHAYYYYYYYY
It's back on!!!!!!!!!!!!1
*does little victory dance*
I really think that some of you other buggers should come along too... what time is it again?
do you want me to mention it to the starion boys?

Interested to check the standard power.
Put me down for it if its £30-35, any more and i'll have to take out a loan :D
Hi Peeps,
Is this on or off????
If still on then I would like to attend. I'm a man on a mission to open a can o' whupass on my mates cavalier turbo and need a benchmark dyno run to start from.
Cheers
This is no longer on.
I've canned it, the Merc is off the road - still!
Not paying to have a company car (200sx) rolling roaded either.
Sorry chaps
