Hey guys
Will there be a club presence @ trax this year?
Hello mate,
Yes there will be. I'll be getting a thread up around the beginning of July to sort out the usual arrangements :thumbs:
It's on the 2nd Sept this year :thumbs:

Where is Trax this year?
Silverstone the same as always. I will be there but with my girlfriends car club but, if we weren't with her lot i'd deffo want there to be a SXOC stand. I dont see why they moan so much.
Hope there is a stand i'll pop over and look about. If there is a stand i think the club should have some merchandise on sale for us. I'd by some gear thats for sure.

some thought that trax had turned into a Chav fest, and that there was a few cocks let out on track with us IIRC, and as such wanted nothing to do with it anymore.
Thats how I understood it anyway ;)
Personally I thought it was the cheapest opportunity to get your car onto a world renowned F1 track, for 30 odd quid :eek:
With a bunch of guys in the same type of car, who for the most part you trusted not to drive like a prick and cause accidents!
And with it only being a 20minute taster session it didn't annihilate a set of tires and break pads, which again, for those of us without pots of cash, made 'a go on a track' very accessible.
well i want to know if we are have a stand or not as i will go down with a different club if not :P i have a great time last year and the year before that

The chav comments were completely unjustified & posted by sheep who just wanted to moan IMO. There was nothing wrong with the show, it's one of the shows of the year for me & I am by no means a chav.
As for cock's let out on track, where? - Didn't see any on the SXOC session, just whinging & general keyboard warrior'ship on the board which seemed to be unjustified :rolleyes:

I'm still waiting for the Club Events pack to arrive, it was sent out on Friday so should be here any day now :thumbs:

It's going to be tight for time though as it's first come first served so I would expect there will only be a 2 week window for track/entrance tickets via the club :thumbs:

im u for going onto the track i went last year with ma old car but didnt go on the track as i was lacking in the throttle area...

the people from Silverstone told us it was now their policy to not allow passnegers at all. Worth bearing in mind.
In addition, they promised noise limits, but once we were there, there was no static testing, and no obvious limits...
Last time I went there were no noise limits either, track time is usually open to those who turn up early enough to sign on with or without a club

Hmm this is tempting, as would be the last show i'd probably make this year (money constraints at the mo!), and i'd love to go round Silverstone.
Any more info on track time availability/stand presence/numbers of people going etc...
If we could get a rough idea on numbers that would be great:

When we went to Silverstone the other month it was a farce. They where very poorly organised, and kept giving us and Algie contradicting information, making the poor fella's job 10 times harder.
They didn't open the full circuit, we only got one with a few corners, and then they waved the chequered flag before the pitlane entrance and sent you straight in the pit lane with zero cooling down time, never mind a lap.
If it's better run this time I'd be interested. :nod:

Really enjoyed it last year, and definitely up for it this year, once I check availability... Shame about no passengers, but an awesome circuit. Will try not to get hypnotised by the pace car this time - helps to get round the first corner! :smash:

I will be putting up a thread for tickets/track time/stand passes as soon as I hear from the organisers as to what is going on, they still haven't sent anything through and with JAE just gone I've had no time to chase them up.
You'll need to be patient as until I know more I can't organise us.:nod:

I'm going to ring them tomorrow and find out WTF is happening. They rang me a little while back to say the pack was on it's way so I can only assume it's been lost in the post.
I'll pop up a thread in Events tonight to get an idea of numbers of who wants what :thumbs:
