HI All

Can anyone suggest a way to get Locking wheel nuts off your car without the key? I just bought some new 17's and can't fit them.

I know about smacking a socket over it. Does anyone know of a less destructive way?

Cheers

From what i know that is the most effective way of removing a locking wheel nut. Or if you really have to get the nut off, if you remove the other 3 you should get enough leverage to snap the stud off

What sort are they?

If they are the type that has the holes for a certain shape tool then you may be able to get something wedged in and turn it, failing that you could weld some bolts together in a roughly similar pattern.

HI All

I think I will pass on your suggetsion Nathan but thanks for the thought. If I lever the wheel and stap it won't I be left with a stub stuck in the hub.

The wheel nuts are the sort of round ones with slight angles.

I will probably try kiplings on Monday.

Cheers
Dan
