I just tried with Elephant, declaring my planned mods made no difference to premium whatsoever...

After flicking thru the terms & conditions, it turned out that they werent actually insuring the mods, and if i had a smash etc they'd replace them with standard parts. :(

i suppose it depends on what they define as a mod
i mean if ur exhaust blows can u actually get hold of a nissan one
im sure if u went to quikfit or somewhere they would just fit one from a standard manufacturer, which would still be classed as aftermarket. and if they are that fussy then they could be fussy with tyres i.e. if 200sx leaves factory with yoko s on and they find u have got pirellis on then technically that would be a mod too. therefore there are very few vehs on the road that arnt modified
