Surely not?

Are you really telling me that he has?
http://www.crazydiamond.alivewww.co.uk/misc/three.JPG

Surely not another one????

The deal isn't yet completed, but it looks very promising...

Leon

I don't think that this is going to happen...
the problem is getting the car home as my mum doesn't want to drive it...

I must be fcuking stupid to have even thought that this simple action, of getting a car to my house, would cause so much fcuking hassle.
Like the rest of my deranged life, why fcuking bother???????????????????????????????????????????? ?????????????????????????????????????????????????? ?????????????????????????????????????????????????? ?????????????????????????????????????????????????? ?????????????????????????????????????????????????? ????????????????????????????????????????????

The point is that I do want this car - but I can't get it home as my mother refuses to drive it and we can't get the ins sorted this fast for my father.
I am not amused.

I'm sure you could get some nutter on here to drive it for you, can't imagine there'd be a shortage of volunteer anyway

I have got it sorted :D
My previously reluctant insurers have agreed to insure me on a 2.6-litre turbo (heh heh) for a really piffling sum - just £50...
Tim - many many thanks for your offer, it is much appreciated - I've already got the cover sorted out though...

I will post piccies by the squidillion when I have the beast in my possestion (picking it up tomorrow nite)

:)

But I'm not going to be insured long term... boo hoo... my dad's going to be the main driver... boo hooo....

Still, when I' feeling flush, 50 isn't too bad for a short spell...

Big Yay in fact :D :D :D
Can't stop grinning - at least I get to drive it once...

Also, this is worth knowing...
Spoke to my ins company and happened to mention that the old man has no NCB of his own, been on my mum's policy since he passed his test.
Get this - £478 FC ins and if he doesn't claim by the end of the year, he will get 5 years NCB all to himself! That's good...
Insureyourmotor.com or 08707 707055 - they were excellent for me (just think, 19 y.o insuring grp 16/17...)

Dave_S

well, insureyourmotor.com just quoted me the princely sum of £2300 Fully Comp on a 95 S14. Hmm think not ;)

Was that over the net?
If so, give them a call - the net price for my dad was over £2k... but ended up at £478 FC!!!

They are all turbos and the very last ones are 2.6-litre...
Power isn't vastly different in standard from the 2.0-litres due to the hideous pussy hiding underneath...
I'll look out some proper figures for ya in a bit...

Oh yeah forgot to mention, there's a red B-reg starion turbo near me. What's the usual going price for one in good condition on a B-reg ?

Like all things, it depends on mileage, work done...
However, standard mileage (ie 12k x 19 or thereabouts), good A2 condition, you'd be looking at prolly under a grand, 850-900 maybe. If better than good condition, more.
Clean, straight, low miles you'd be looking at 1800, poss even as high as 2.3 or thereabouts...

Leon

However, if you are very lucky, and or cheeky, you'd get it much cheaper...
IE I paid 995 for my 86 with 57k and immaculate interior, minuture rust and a minor dent in the pass door...
Had I paid correct price for it, appx £1500+
