Good bodywork place in Southampton area

I've got the classic bootlid/spoiler rust appearing on L200, and I'm keen to get on top of it before it goes anymore downhill :cry:

Could anyone recommend a good bodywork place (reasonably priced!) in the South area, maybe Soton, Bournemouth... Winchester?? I've got a replacement spoiler lined up, so I'll just need the old one taken off, done whatever needs to be done :wack: and the new one put on...

I know Chris at PTS has a bodywork person he can recommend, but I'm keen to try somewhere slightly more local...

i have been going to totton body repairs, down brokenford lane in totton there not too bad and if your not happy with the work they will take it back to fix it. after a smack i used them and it is very good !!!!

i always took my car to customize perfection, 10 old redbridge road, southampton, so15 0nj. 02380 667992 (under millbrook flyover)
They done a fantastic job, really well priced and friendly guys too. but, and its a big but to, i have heard a rumour they may have shut down or they may have moved, im not sure if this is true :confused: it would be worth finding out though as they are/were 110%.

Im quite interested to see who people recommend as its always worth knowing a good bodyshop, i can give you some advice, dont go near MDH in Eastleigh, they quoted me £485 to take the dent out of my door & respray it on my integra.......:eek:

Just found out they don’t exist anymore!! Either that, or they’ve moved somewhere…

Anyho, I found a place in Hythe, so am taking the car in Thursday morning for a quote – will let you know how I get on :D He sounded like he knew what I was talking about – as soon as I mentioned the car, he knew exactly where the rust would be!!! :wack:

DO NOT GO THERE THEY ****ED MY MATES CAR AFTER PAYING £2000+ for a respray and they wond rectify it saying its the paints fault as they mixed the paints different days nad sprayed then on different days

i went to customise perfection, and so did a mate of mine, they done a really good job one our cars!! and a really good price!!!
i suppose it depends on each individual really, what the work is, who is doing the work, how busy they are etc etc.
did you not find MDH to be really expensive??? i been advised not to go there!! lol

I know this is a monumental thread bump but did the OP end up finding a GOOD place to get this bodywork done? If so, I'm looking for a place I can trust for some work I need doing.

Also speak to Quality reflections, they are based in West End (allington Lane) currently doing a vast amount of rust work to my car and fitting overfenders etc, There work is top notch and the owner Niel is a great guy.

GT Paintworks in Brockenhurst :thumbs: :nod: Really good standard of work and really nice people too. They refurbed some wheels for me last year, can't remember what it cost though :(
