I rang my insurer (Norwich Union) today to see whether I would need to pay any extra if I fitted an Apexi Induction kit. The bad news is they don't insure any modified cars.
So now looking for a new insurer; anyone recommend an insurer that does take on modifications? I expect to fit a new exhaust and a Dawes as well as the induction kit.
HIC seem to be doing well for people.
Dave
Norwich union direct insured mine with a modification - alloy wheels.
They also said further mods would be ok up to a point, but the guy I spoke to didn't know where that point was:confused:
Norwich Union and Norwich Union Direct are different companies :(

Well, you learn something new every day:)
You would have thought with having the same name and everything......
There's always Greenlight.
They're the opposite, they don't insure you if you have a standard car...!

Thanks for the suggestions everyone. I will be with Liverpool Victoria from midnight tonight. Only charged an extra £22 for 4 mods: boost gauge, induction kit, Dawes device and after market zorst!
Hopefully start to mod tomorrow (if the bits arrive from Bren).
