Hi dan,

got pointed in your direction for a S14a BMC stopper. I see you do one for the S13, but no details and price for the s14 one - could you let me know cost delivered please mate  :)

i would like one also :)

always wondered why the pedal feel was so inconsistent? sometimes i can tap the brakes and they feel ineffective, then tap then again a second time and they suddenly become sharper?

i'm guessing £25 posted as per this thread - http://www.sxoc.co.uk/vbb/showthread.php?t=264948&highlight=bmc

Mine came yesterday, fitted it this morning and the improvement to the brake pedal feel is noticeable
*constructive criticism* in future batches you may want to improve the position of the rear screw mounting hole so customers don't have to take to it with files and powerdrills :wack: saying that it's a good bit of kit for the money :)

i've semi fitted mine, i couldnt actually get the last screw in? it was obscured by the actual BMC? it improved brake feel immensly to start off with, but then went back to normal, probably because its not sitting as tight as it should be...

will have to get that sorted next weekend.. will have to remove it till then, dont want anything flexing/disorting/breaking whilst its not properly secured in the meantime

HI Clouder

It appears that it was sent to the Stoke sorting depot instead of Plymouth :wack: It's now at Plymouth and should get delivered to you today :)

The tracking number is IQ6986621 (Parcel Force) if you want it :)

Sorry chap.

Cheers Dan, it turned up today :) not your fault mate.

I moaned to the delivery driver that i wanted it for Japfest, and he said i should put in for compensation as thats not acceptable... what do you think mate? Worth the hassle or not?

Wish i could work out how this goes together :(

Ive got 2 brackets - correct
1 long bolt, 1 shorter one... and 2 nuts for them (i assume i only need to use 1?)
4 small bolts, 1 shorter one... (short one??)
2 washers that fit small bolts... (why not 4...?)
An end stop.

help!? Does the short BIG bolt go in the left hand side bracket into turret (seems bloody long!?) - what else is it for? How else would i attach that bracket, havent got enough bolts..? Why the shorter small bolt...? Why only 2 washers..? :)

what do these do? and how do they fit on?

Clouder_sx
28-05-2007, 15:59
They help stop the brake master cylinder flexing in the engine bay by bolting on the turret and 'pushing' against the master cylinder. I dont think it will make your brakes super, but does improve peddle feel. My peddle often felt lifeless and wimpy, but with this fitted its a bit higher up and stronger feeling
