well on the 3rd of this month i was on the way to work and this happened....

and you can immagine the bumper

i was on the way to work and turned a corner that i take every day but today the car decided to go very sideways and i didnt catch it in time, basically swing out wide, slammed the brakes on, and the abs spat its dummy out and didnt slow me at all, BANG, into a stone wall.

mr nice taxi driver stopped and reversed back to see, i put my hand up to say 'im ok' and he just drve off leaving me to push my car on my own

knew it had damaged the IC the min it wouldnt start as i could tell it was not that bad a bump, only hit the wall at i spose 10mph but it was enough to do a fair bit of damage,

got towed to work and managed to lash up this as an ic replacement to get me home lol
popped off twice too lol

right, so now to fix the bugger,

off with the old

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v244/mdnovaman/DSC07622.jpg

thanks to mammouth for the near endless supply of handy bits in his garage he and a few other people have given me the bits to fix my car at very good prices  :sxoc:

did a trial fit at first with a pre facelift bumper

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v244/mdnovaman/DSC07625.jpg

but as the wing i got from mammouth was a facelift wing it had the wholes for the spats so went with the facelift bumper that i had too :D

so one mammouth wing and one RPB wing all rubbed up and painted in nice rattle can black

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v244/mdnovaman/DSC07633.jpg

a bumper that i got from a lad called Lurch also on here

and a headlight also from mammouth:wave:

i then fitted the new wings

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v244/mdnovaman/DSC07636.jpg

and this turned up at the door from 2fast2cool2 on ebay, gay name, but class buisness, got loads from them and never had a problem at all, its identical to the apex cooler i had before, other than the lower 2 tabs are wider appart so meet up with different holes, and the whole thing fits higher up so much better imo

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v244/mdnovaman/DSC07638.jpg

then i painted the facelift bumper and swapped the damaged headlight for the one from mammouth and it looks like this today, waiting for a good machine polosh to get the shine from it

so ill still be ready for coombe

mate why do you say that, is it really that visible from that pic, i know the car is in a fair need of an allighnment but didnt realise it was obvious lol, which waydo you think by the way too ??

here is the final article, just need a badge for the bumper :)

took an hour or two with the machine polisher to get this type of shine but im happy with it for now, pannel gaps are not perfect but not bad really

I onyl said it cos the outer edge of your tyre looked quite bold. But looking at the other pics, it might have just been the camera angle with that particular pic :)

Nice repair job! I must admit, my rattle can experiences have never been that great, but then I'm not a patient person!

I'd leave the spoiler off and tint the windows a little. S13's look nice and smooth without it!
