Right, I have just been screwed for a huge amount of money for my S14a's insurance, a cocktail of being 22, with no NCB - doh! (now paying for wangling my insurance cheaply for the last 5 years) :(

With this in mind, how much do you tell your insurance company with regards to mods.......as this sudden hike (now around the 2k mark! just to shock ya! ) in my premium has put me off do ing any more mods, which would be a shame! :)

How inadvisable is it to change the zorst and not tell my insurance company, i think i could handle holding my modding at that for about two years, she's already a BMW killing beast (ooo what fun....the look on annoance on thire faces!):D Could just do with pipe the size of a catering-sized bean can!

After that i should get a nice amount of NCB (presuming i dont wrap it around any immovable objects, trees, telegraph poles etc)

So what do you recon...?

If your thinking "why is he still driving that car if his insurance is sooooo high?" go and get in your 2***** and drive it......there you go! (i love it too much to part with it)

on a motor worth more than a few hundred quid id wana make sure im damn well covered on it! You are insuring the car comprehensively for a reason - so that you can claim for it if all goes wrong :( so why lie and screw up ur claim just for the sake of a few quid?

An exhaust is pretty easy for an insurance assesor to spot when he looks at the car. The FBU or an uprated WMIC are a bit more difficult to spot.....

I told the insurance about my mods but at the moment that only amounts to alloy wheels.
