What is the best modified car that either you or a friend own?
My favoutrite would be a toss-up between 'my mate Dave's' 4sec-60 GTi-R, and my mate Neil's old-shape 300ZX, with Ferrari Yellow paint, handmade rear end, 20in rims, etc.... with a pickup conversion!
Anyone know of anything just a wee bit MENTAL!?!...

In my local area.....mine :D
But really, there are a few 400bhp cossie's 'n' stuff, and a Mk2 Escort with a V8 in it. :)

:)
Any chance of a passenger ride at some point? I haven't driven the 180 for so long that it has shrunk, and now I can't fit in it! :(

Take your pick...
5 9 second Supras/Soarer/Syclone/Vipers/Vettes
25 or so 10 second RX7s/DSMs/Supras/Vettes/Mustangs/Etc.
Frankly there are so many fast and rare cars here (1 of 5 marchiellago Lambos is here) that seeing a Ferrari going down the road isnt really jaw-dropping. Hell my good friend owns a 10 second supra, a M5, and a 550 Marenello.
If I had to pick one though it would be my mates 550.
Two weeks just over and you'll have to come up and have a drive of her.:)
Actually Vince's car is my favourite after mine. She really looks good.

That would be SW... the Supra is sold. The Z06 Vette runs in the 9s... has a 422cid MTI motor in it. Dunno about the Viper... most likely he has another one. He still has the 550 and the M5. However... my mate is another guy. Who has a red 550, a dark blue M5, and a red Supra. Name is Tony, awesome guy. SW is kinda uptight all the time... been that way all his life.

We have plenty! Just he knows how to drive over them. That and he can afford to fix whatever he scratches up. Didnt know you knew SW personally? Tony is a friend of SWs... and to answer your question there are a TON of people in Austin that have and can afford all those cars. Austin is a very wealthy town in some areas.

Don't m8, never spoken to him im my life, he's in the market for a Skyline tho, and I frequent the U.K. gtr site quite often :D
The best i can do is where i work is one chap with a Noble F1 and McLaren F1 long tail (I think that is what it is called), The Noble is his everyday car and i think is modified a bit , only seen the McLaren once.
Every one else owns jag's or modified porshes (No one has a Ferrari, which is odd), company cars are Jag XKR's (I must try harder to get one for a weekend)
Although me and the guy i work with both have S14a's

Sorry, went all weird there for a second :)

Yep. It absolutely galls me to say it but his is probably the best modified motor round these parts. I hate having to admit to a friend that theyve got something better than me.:) Ah well, at least I have done all my own work rather than shipping it off to a garage.:D
Black Ultima GTR :D
Now with Dart Pro Racing Heads and lots of NA power (450+ bhp).
Okay those yank tanks doing 9's will beat it on the strip, but hey this things about going round corners :D
Unbeaten as yet on the road, even destroying a 550 maranello on the way to Donnington :D

Should have thought of Matt then:p, he lives in Colchester.
really? oh, never seen him driving around anywhere. Oh well, wake up Dave
Dave
Some bloke down the road from me has XJ220, ferrai dino, lambo's, a few of the land speed record cars, audio rally monster thing, paris dakar saxo rally thing (i so want one of those), a heap of F1 cars, the list goes on....
Who do you stay next to? JK, Damon Hill?
Lord Montagu of Beaulieu motor museum fame :D. He drives them around every now and then, the XJ220 is something else.
I have a friend whos done quite an original mod to a Nova.
He got a 2 door saloon, and cut the roof off behind the front seats, removed the rear seats, welded an astra estate boot lid behind the front seats and made a Nova pick up
It has Cav GSI Side skirts, BMW E30 rear bumper, Impreza WRX front bumper and varioust other little bits.
Under the bonnet is a 2.0 Astra GSI 16V lump with K&N and a custom exhaust.
Ok, its a scrabble wagon, but it is so light and quick is spins the wheels up in 4th in the wet, and 3rd in the dry.
Its currently Tax'd and MOT'd and he drives it, though it looks like a patchwork quilt as the doors, bonnet, panels are different colours and theres patches of filler where bits have been smoothed on. It looks a total rat at the moment, but it just ads to the fun as we found out next to a Clio 172 at the lights the other week.
They pointed an laughed, but it was me and my mate pointing and laughing at the next set of lights, even more so whe we told them it was a 1.2 engine :D :D :D

There use to be a green astramax with 3 spokes/venoms on that reach daft speeds - You know the one Dave and you thought it was as cool as I did. Sadley now defunct. I'm sure I saw your kit car the other day by the way....
Other than that, Richie's S13, my mates GT40 replica and my birds prelude's pretty sweet. She just won't let me drive it :(
Plenty of Cossie wannabe's
.........and a targa top Supra - Troy Lee graphics, 18" splitties and a lovely 2:0 16v n/a mated to an auto box. Fcuk me its a mondeo.
My Seirra beats it.............

I know mate, but Im afraid somethings are best left to the experts.....
Unfortunately I couldnt afford them, so I took it to SE instead:D:D:D:D:D:D
:(
Dave_S - PMSL when Steve told me about your comment;)
Dunno about my fave modded car tho......
I live right by the Ferrari, Porsche Lambo garage. They must be modding them cos they always seem to keep coming back to the garage!;)
Years ago there was an XR2 (not the "i"). He had bolted a turbo into it and apparently it flew! At that time I thought it was awsome.....
Now Im not so sure.
Mr Taylor, thanks mate for your support.
Nah - still cant think of anything really good (thats not a 200 that is :) )
Donkis:
Aaaaaah, the old Kawasaki green astravan. done about 200k miles that had. Used to love that thing, shame it was a state in the end. Poor old Chris. I've still got that bit of paint that we pulled off of it, remember that?
Matt_S: Which comment was that mate?? (damn sieve like brain)

An old work mate built a hot rod, kinda like the ZZtop kinda thing. It has a small block V8 and makes about 500BHP, he shows it a lot i.e. award winner etc. Nice but I wouldn't want it to be honest. Rather have a Lotus Elise or better still a Lotus Esprit
