thought i'd have a go at mounting my SAFCII this w/end
i'm running out of places for things to go - i don't like stuff just stuck to the dash or where ever there's room, it's got to look relatively 'factory fit' (my AVCR (http://www.sxoc.co.uk/vbb/showthread.php?t=250615))

i was going to stick it in the drivers door air vent but decided it really doesn't need to be on show and it's the blue/silver version so would look out of place in the mainly black interior

so i opted for the glovebox.....

the nitrous controller has always been in there but just wedged in placce, now it's mounted properly along with the SAFCII
the gap between the two will have one of these (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=001&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT&viewitem=&item=110117584768&rd=1&rd=1) LCD inlet temp displays mounted there, when it turns up next week - already got one measuring temp at throttle body, thought i'd get one to measure it at air filter

just needs trimming in CF to match the centre consol and then wiring up

That does look a tidy job. Will you be covering it in Vinyl?

inlet temp sensor is one of these (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=001&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT&viewitem=&item=110117584768&rd=1&rd=1) LCD thingies

did a little work to the glovebox this afternoon and the result is this.....

not entirely happy with the CF finish - didn't trim it very well and there's a few gaps, although i don't think you can see them in the pics

was going to make a couple of slots in the top section to hold a few CDs but realized there wouldn't be enough room to get them in/out with the glove box in position so i mounted a few switches there instead - don't know what they'll be for yet but i'm sure there'll come a time when i need some
i could wire one to turn the LCD display on/off as it doesn't need to be on if the glovebox is closed, although i could wire a door pin switch to do that so it turns on automatically when i open it

just need to wire everything up now:confused:
