View Full Version : This T.C Lark!!
erm...very interested in the whole traction control thing but as i can pick up, the T.C system runs off the car's ABS sensors, problem is me 1990 version doesn't have ABS!! dam, guess the cheapo who bought the car didn't fork out for this handy option. Is T.C a no-go for me unless i have ABS? Is the ABS system better than no ABS and how much would it cost to obtain and fit? overall....IS IT WORTH IT? http://300zx.co.uk/200sx/ubb/smile.gif

Says the man that cant stop spinning his wheels http://300zx.co.uk/200sx/ubb/wink.gif
You can fit TC withought ABS, they fit some other kind of sensor instead. I dont bother with mine while it's dry, it's a different matter in the wet though. I got fed up of just sitting at a roundabout or junction just spinning the wheels, with the traffic round here if you dont nip out you just sit there forever.

mmm - that nice chappie Simon Norris with his 430BHP(ish) 200 doesn't use traction control, he says its more challenginga and fun without !

He also has a greddy like mine which means he can drop his boost off to granny levels when around town. I had TC before and then the greddy, still it means I can run high boost in the wet without loosing traction in 4th http://300zx.co.uk/200sx/ubb/eek.gif

ah gotcha, cheers Nathan, hope the sensor ain't too expensive, and StuyMac, u KNOW u want T.C, make your power work for you, not against you etc. etc.
Norris is great altho i see his 0-100 in Max power -Gack!pffftttt - was hampered by some sort of sideways action off the line...oh well, maybe he could've broken into the 9's with T.C , and he can turn it off whenever, come winter, i'm gonna need T.C i reckon, protect me investment http://300zx.co.uk/200sx/ubb/smile.gif
