Well, much fun as the Mazda MX-5 was, its limited practiallity finally got the better of me, hence I went out and chopped it in for this, a BMW 330d Tourer.

Its the SE spec, with the sports trim :) 184bhp std - will be soon chipped ;) to approx 215bhp. Std 0-60 comes up in 7.6 secs and it pulls like a train in every gear, and still returned 52mpg on a spirited trip back from Wolverhampton with it :)

Its got the 17" wheels, FSH, covered 85k and loads of other toys, the only thing its missing is the CD changer from the boot :(

Mmmm. I'm looking at a 330d for my next car. It's a mental car considering you get 40mpg+ and it does 0-60 in around 7secs in saloon form.
I'd ideally like a Sport spec one in black. How much did yours cost if you don't mind me asking?

Great car. I've got the 330i touring. Test drove the diesel but for the equivalent year / spec it was nearly £2k more. I don't do the miles to justify that.

They are brilliant - get it chipped ASAP! I had the privilige of driving one down to the South of France last year. My only ever GATSO flash!

Nice cruisers, and will put a dent in peoples day on the motorway.

Nice one Stu. Can't decide between one of those or an A4/A6 quattro avant atm. How wallowy is it?

I had a look into these, bloody lovely cars, just a little out of my price range at the moment.

TBH the Wallow on it is quite minimal, though there is quite a bit of weight to get round a corner. I think they all have stability control which independantly applies brakes where / if needed - but you can switch this off.

Mine has the "Sports" pack, which gives slightly stiffer suspension - the non sports may be a bit softer.

We came back up the A roads home, and over the 90ish miles the trip computer showed 52mpg

I PX'd the MX-5 and £5.3 for it :) (TBH I paid what they are generally going for - its just worth looking out for the extras you want, as vitrually nothing is std from BMW
