Can't take a picture as I'm obviously at work (Millbrook), but I just had a good long look around the Audi R8.
Lads, lads, lads. Wow. Frickin' sounded mint. Definitely V8 powered as you can hear the bugger chuntling away.
Fantastic car, looks the bees knees!!!
Road registered '07 plate, I didn't know they were on the road?

highly likely they're not and it's a publicity car or a test vehicle and you just told the world ;)
Ahhhhh, not a bad idea either. Who cares, it's not like Millbrook isn't under constant surveillance anyway. :wack:
I can talk about that going in and out all day. Think it looks absolutely brilliant, like a Murcielago/TT lovechild.
My problem with the R8 is that it's already dated. As it looks so stylish and futuristic, it isn't a timeless design. The 911 still looks good. The Alfa 8C is an example of a classic timeless design and as a result, it looks awesome and still will in 10, 15, 20 years time. Will the R8? I doubt it.

Tiff drove it down the strip in vegas and then round some dodgy track. Does sound nice.

I saw one on easter weekend on the M40, with a lady driver who looked scared as F**k to be driving it! 63Mph in the middle lane.
It looked very nice, but I don't think the traditional Audi ethos of car design will mean that it's ever competetive in drivers terms with 911's. The RS4 is taking the fight to the M3, but I can't help but think that the R8 will remain a toy for people who like the idea of a sports car, but have no real interest in driving. I stand to be corrected however!

I found out that from a mate at work that his dad owns one of these beasts... Sold his house and now lives in a mobile home just to be able to own one! He will be in that rally thing that is coming up soon. Obviously not the Gumball, but the one thats £4000 to enter... (Cant remember the name)
Guys if you haven't already you have to check out the website for the R8, what a website so well designed and the animation is nothing short of SUPERB!
