Hey, Anyone know how to SAFELY remove the needles from your speedo? I just dont wanna screw anything up!?

Any help much appriciated?! cheers

what are you planning on doing? i wouldnt personally remove them.

i can only can speak for changing the dials on a s14, but the original ones are cut away & the new ones have slightly larger holes that let them slide over the needles. dont know if this is the case with all cars.

hmmmm, on the s13 I think im gonna have to remove them. the new ones are cut way but the oldones aren't.

Don't do it!!

I went through three sets of clocks trying to change the dials - I don't think it's possible without breaking the needles. They're spring loaded and as soon as the needle comes off, the spindle spins around and that's a set of clocks dead :wack:

Seriously, I don't think it's possible :(

Or you could not bother wasting your time - you can't remove the needles without killing your clocks :thumbs:

DONT DO IT You will kill your clocks mate i tried it and ruined mine :annoyed: , the needles NEVER go back in the same place :( think i was doing 25mph on idle :rolleyes:

erm, why not put your new dials over the old ones like everyone else does :confused:

silly nissans.. :) let the car warm up, make a note/take a photo of the positions... a teaspoon either side of the needle lever up and pop, off they come... new needles push on in the same position as the original, using photos for guidance.... gotta love mazda :D :p
