One of my mates has an Audi A3 and I have always loved the dash on it in the dark, eveything glows red. I really wanted to get my dash to look similar so I ordered up some red LED bulbs from ultraleds.com last week and fitted them at the weekend.

I am really happy with the results, no bright or dark spots, just a nice even spread of colour

Just really need to figure out what type of bulb I need to get the clock to glow red, anyone have any ideas?

Going to be continuing it through to the heater controls, boost gauge etc

I used 3x of these, not exactly the same but close enough

In the pic the fuel gauge bulb was brand new and brighter than the other 2 but not as badly as the pic makes it look, they don't last as long as normal dash bulbs so be prepared to remove the dials quite a bit to replace them but they are 10x better IMO :D

its a kit from this old Indiglo group buy which has since finished

http://sxoc.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=155213&highlight=indiglo

but still available on ebay from the same fella :notworthy that made GB items

they do look good in the pic but they are even better in real life

they even dim down at the touch of a button (5 levels of brightness IIRC)

I can highly recommend them
