Reading through my mates copy, they did a 0-100 test, consisting of Twin engined Renault 5 Turbo (500bhp) Lamborghini Diablo (595bhp) Cossie (500bhp) 200SX (430bhp - Simon Norris)

Their 0-100 times where:

R5T - 9.1
Diablo - 9.3
200SX - 10.2
Cossie - 12.3
and a 230bhp 200SX managed 14.9

The R5T was "only" running low boost when it did the 9.1 quarter mile!!!!

The plonker them upped the boost and exploded one of his pistons. So he only had one run at the quarter mile and the Lambo could not beat or equal it in about 6 runs!!!!

PS Only bought the mag as it has got the top 100 items in it, and considering I am looking for new discs and pads to replace the OE ones, *cough* ahhhhhhhhhh, hmmmmmmmmmm............... Pants.....

One thing they did have in the aforementioned mag, was a titanium exhaust system. This is am interested in, strong yet lightweight, lightweight yet strong. Sounds like an Andrex advert..... hmmmmmmm. Yes I am bored OK....

wot a surprise that the R5 melted. They are the devils own car. I had one, rebuilt it from the shells upwards. Melted.

I've heard that about the R5's aswell, especialy on the roller's they like to distibute there internals allover, saying that and dont flame me for this they are bloody quick, I've posted this before but when I was running standard I had one of these little bleaders stuck to my tail pipe, just couldnt shake hime even on the long straights. must have been tuned but I gave him my respect that day.

NO, NO, NO! Please stop talking about Max bloody Power.

This 'publication' has got to be THE reason (I'll use the word 'allegedly' here) people like us (in proper cars) get buzzed by silly boy racers in Novas and Fiestas who are just wasting their time (and usually end up risking a bloody big accident).

And even if the cars have actually got engines (and not just huge body kits and 8000 watt systems in the boot) they haven't done the rest - ie suspension and brakes etc.

If anyone HAS paid money to read this tosh they should pay a penalty like not driving their 200 for a week.

And going to bed early.

I agree totally about MP its badly written by bad people with bad spots and even badder girfriends. (I mean bad in the literall sense of the word, not trying to be phat or anything). So I got a copy of Fast Car instead and was disapointed by the lack of tits and an abundance of badly written descriptions of **** cars. It even came with a ****y CD full of 500bpm hardcore ****e designed specificaly to make you look like an arse.

Hmm let's see.. a 500bhp cossie does it in 12.3, a 430bhp 200sx does it in 10.2 and a Diablo manages it in 9.3

This seems a little strange to me. I've just grabbed a copy of Autocar and am looking at the 0-100 times for various cars in the back. The Lancer 6 Evo does it in 11.2, standard. The R34 skyline supposedly does it in 10.8.
How come these 300bhp ~ cars are beating these 400+ things? Surely the 4wd can't make that big a difference? Let's continue ...
Ferrari 360, 400bhp RWD, does it in 8.8 .. yikes.
The Corvette seems to do it in 11.9, however ... and the Viper takes 10.7 seconds. Mind you these cars are a couple hundred KG heavier than a 200sx. The skyline is a fat porker, relatively speaking too.
A 350bhp Lotus Esprit at 1346 kg can do it in 10.3 seconds, the V8 GT does it in 9.5 (1313kg) ... I'm -sure- something doesn't add up here...

Have bought the mag twice (*this year*), first time for adverts for new head unit (saved £300) and secondly for brake discs/pads (honest).I am going on holiday for 2 weeks and was wondering if this period could be used as my sentance??? Ripper QC???

Since I will be without 200sx, am expecting severe withdrawl, and will have to put up with a shltty £10 per day hire car....

Oh, and I promise to go to bed early too!!!

Personally I stick to Banzai or Japanese Performance and EVO magazine

Proper Mags, though Banzai seem to be bloody biased towards Friggy Subarus

I reckon its about time they gave alittle respect to 200sx'x either S13 or S14 or S15.

They need to do a feature on what are really minor mods that can take such a car from 166bhp to 280-300bhp.

Saw his car at SE. It in a similar state to mine, that is BEFORE I spent £LoTs having it all tarted up.
I think he may have the lightest battery tray in the country (apart from me and Steve that is - 80mm holes for IC pipes!). Theres nothing left of it (rusty!)

Must stop the slagging off anyway - he may come on the site with a sudenim(spelling?)- you never know
