Ive been searching through the old archive board for about the last 30 mins (Damn pop ups http://300zx.co.uk/200sx/ubb/mad.gif ) trying to find a link someone posted for a site for somewhere that sells tyres the cheapest Ive ever seen them. Can anyone remember the link? Sorry, cant even remember the name of the place either - dead helpful me http://300zx.co.uk/200sx/ubb/wink.gif

I get my tyres from Stapletons (STS), they are the cheapest I found and offer Tyre insurance (peace of mind).

I cant remember stu but after shredding a set that was on mine, i opted for KUMHO dieyungs.. provide less traction and longevity at a fraction of the price of normal tyres. (I aint kiddin!)its like driving on lurpak.

BUT i may be of some help since you aint too far from Chester. Going back a year or so, I used to get part worns for some 17" evos I had, the place was a total dump and ran by a reet scallywag old man, but when i needed new tyres he literally added a couple of quid onto cost price and sold them "rather get 2 pound profit than have you go elswhere and buy them" was his philosophy. I only bought Falkens but he did yokos and stuff, i was paying about 60 quid a tyre, and tbh they rocked. Tyres R Us was the name of the place, its in saltney in chester.

Tyres are such a rip-off, I once got quoted £420 for two Bridgestone SO2's !!

You could try Micheldever Tyres ( www.micheldever.co.uk (http://www.micheldever.co.uk) )- they're usually much cheaper than the high street places.

I've heard that Micheldever are meant to be really cheap, one of my mates used to get tyres for his BMW there. I use Lynchford Tyres, they're also very cheap.

I have Falken's on mine. ZE502's on the front and GRB's on the back. Dont reckon much to the fronts, but the backs are good.

Saying that, they are the tyres I got on the wheels(2nd hand) and the sizes are all to cock...205/45 fr and 225/45 R. That might have something to do with the understeer factor. If I had wanted understeer I would have bought a VW Golf etc etc...

Wear is high on the GRB's but they seem pretty grippy. I have been quoted £53 a corner for GRB's in 215/40/16, which I think is hellishly cheap. That was from a local place called Troy Autopoint. If you are from the Yorkshire region they may be worth a try.

Anyone had a chance to look at my post about Renault 21 T3's yet? *hint hint*

DOH!!!

Cheers for all the replies, but someone posted a link to a tyre supplier, the prices where something like £56 for Falken 502, £60 for Falken GRB, and £63 for Falken 451 (This is for 215/40/17), and onle £10 postage if you ordered 4. DAMN good prices I thought, but I just cant remember the link???

Wayhay, Ive found the url http://www.allclipartsite.com/images/smiley/smileface6.gif

It was Papa Laz who posted it originally (he hasnt been on yet today I dont think), but check out the Tyres and Extras bit along the top tool bar - VERY good prices for a nice set of skins.

Have to agree with Jez. I've used Micheldever for several years and they've always been far cheaper than anywhere else
