PROSPORT Ebay guages - Problem (Boost)

I've had a bit of a problem with mine , My boost guage reads low.

I've basically replaced a tim guage with the boost sensor and wired everything up perfect.

The guage performs its opening sweep from min to max no problems , but when the guage becomes active its reading -10 (ie vacuum) even when the engine isnt running , when running on full boost (15psi) it barely goes into the positive scale.

Is there something i've missed???

I've tried it with the filter , without , without dumpvalve plumbed in.

Faulty boost sensor me thinks?

Have you plumped it in before or after the throttle? i.e. in the I/C piping/below the thottle or in the plenum?

Its plumbed in like my old mechanical one , ie , same vacuum/boost pipe as the Dump valve , (dump valve is on the cold pipe just before TB)

Doesnt explain why it reads vacuum when engine isnt running , even when vac pipe is not connected.

unplug the hose going into the sensor then switch the gauge on? that'l rule out any faults in the plumbing..

iirc you have to do a bit of soldering with that one? make sure none of the wires are coming into contact with eachother as they seem to go a little crazy when that happens :)

Will try again later. As far as wiring goes , no problems whatsoever but i will double check everything.
