My line manager is having a rant. He says that since he always sees the moon every night, that means Australia don't see it because we're 'in the way'.

We can see the moon during the day at the moment. but that's not relevant.

Do Australia see the moon ever?

Stuy, I have to give you a caution for your use of obscene pictures. Please repent immediately, flog yourself with a large haddock, and give me your S14.

I hope you told him, 'because we see the sun every day (ok we see daylight :) ), australia don't see it because we're in the way'

I've seen the moon in New Zealand and that's only down the road from Oz ;)

The crescent is round the other way tho! What I mean is, we may see it as a ) shape but for them it's a ( shape. Or the other way round - which way does the moon go, I've forgotten :o

Wonder what shape it is on the equator? Led down I spose

If hes still ranting, then ask him if they cant see it during the night, then how come we cant see it during the day, AND howcome eclipses are never in the same place because his theory dictates that the eclipse will be in the same place, everyday of the week, and they are a little rarer than that....

Actually dont argue, his head might explode!

Yep 28 1/4 days.
I can confirm in theory that you can see the moon from Oz, but I have no proof as when I spent 3 months down there a few years ago, I was too p*ssed to notice:D

Went to Thailand a few years ago and was amazed to see that the moon was upside down :D Somehow it had never occurred to me... :D :D
