View Full Version : My ebay gauges - pics
I know a few people were asking for installed pics so here they are :)
i think they look quite good.. the fit isnt bad.. i used a DIN mount plate from apex and sprayed it matt black.. carbon fibre would have looked sh1t unless the rest of the interior was CF too (although i'm not a fan of the look)

looking good, what gear knob is that??
Thought I'd add a pic of mine to this! :) Well chuffed with them, they seem perfectly accurate and being able to see your peaks after a run is quality!

definately get some, well worth the money imo and they seem accurate enough although i have nothing to compare against really
i'm happy with the colour match with the headunit too

cheers mate.. its a nismo black aluminium although i wouldnt buy one again :wack: its too light, too short and too shiney lol i was expecting more of a gunmetal colour but oh well!

looks very good
and yes, the peak feature is excellent! i was going to just buy a manual boost gauge on its own (which would have no peak function), but glad i went with the whole lot of these.. well chuffed..
mmmmmmm nice gauges chaps, ive just bought 3 splitfire 1's hopfully they'l be as nice, and got a carbon f plate to fit 2 of em to and the other will go in the door vent:D
i do like the door vent look and was going to go for it, but 2 in the DIN slot would have looked a little strange i think.. i may get water temp to go with them and stick the boost gauge in the door vent, but i think i might miss my aircon vent with summer coming up!!

they look good mate, only thing they stick out a bit? i'd prefer to sink them into the console. have u had any luck with your rear bumper yet mate?
they can easily be sunk further in with a little trimming, but i didnt bother. i dont mind them how they are, and as the headunit pokes out a fair bit it doesnt look too odd to me..
no luck with the bumper just yet, will probably just get the existing one resprayed when i get the front scuff sorted..

Spotless interior - wooo!
Hi tej,
just in the process of plumbing my boost gauge in and I've got a DIN plate from Apex. Was yours a tight fit, fitting it from the back of the dash/console?
Mine is only going to sit flush with a bit of a shave down each side.
yeah mate, tbh the fit is not all that, theres no real way to mount it either..
i trimmed a little off the edges and hot glued it to the back of the console.
but, you can do it without glueing, you can sandwich the console between the gauge and the din plate with clever placement if that makes sense?
I get ya mate. The trimming was in my mind. At least i know I'm not missing something really obvious. :)
Thanks for that. Yours looks good though. Nice job.
thats does look well nice mate, spesh with the DVD out!
thanks guys :)
i am pretty chuffed with the colour match of the gauges and the alpine unit, the light grey gives the centre console a less sombre look!
