Trying to remove a momo wheel from a s13 to stick on mine. Can get the wheel off with the allen but the boss won't budge. I've tried the 17mm nut in the middle but that just turns round and doesn't come out... Is that normal:confused:

no, is the car a non-runner? ie is the steering connected up?? are you sure you undid it enough?? can't recall how many turns it was on mine, was a while ago, I've got a boss from my old s13, PM me if your interested, I'll measure the distance between the nuts as it was just a halfrauds jobby.

Car ran, until i extracted the gearbox from it to replace my knackered one.
Steerings all connected up. Today was the third attempt at taking the nut off. It turns, but doesnt tighen up or loosen.. maybe the thread is shaggered. I'll keep at it, if i give up (prob not untill i get paid) i'll drop u a pm

Tried again... bastrad nut is still the same:mad:
As the "easy to do" nut was being a :censored:
Thought i'd try the back entrance:wack:
I opened the plastic surround, moved indicator/wiper stalks back and saw a plate that looks part of the steering coloumn, is there anyway to remove this?

I think someone's tried to lock the nut, as i found very small bits of thin metal sticking out of the nut's thread

maybe the wrong thread pitch'd nut has been forced on.

If its a 17mm nut then its not the standard one which is 19mm. Reckon someones fcuked the thread so its just spinning.

My bad.. it was a 19mm but the threads fcuked as it seems to be spitting out metal bits. Guess I'll have to buy another hub, wish I had a chainsaw:mad:
