Hello all, best pics I can really take without jacking up and removing them which I don't really wanna do until I have replacements. But, i'm sure somone on here can identify them without going through all that rigmarole :)
Anyhoo they're on the front of my Silvia and they're single pot sliding calipers. I think they're the same as the S14A rears but i'd really like someone to confirm this before I start spending money.

Bottom of caliper/pad to get an idea of the slots etc

If anyone can 100% positively ID them i'd be proper grateful as they are getting pretty worn and I'd like to change them before they're fcukered and I can probs give rough measurements if needed :)
Cheers

They're deffinately not he same as S14 rears.
That's as muh as I know, though.
They're big single pot sliding calipers. Aren't they likely to be the same as Pre-Facelift S13 fronts?

Yeah they should be the same as RS13 calipers - depending on the year they'll be either 257mm or 280mm disks :)

That sounds logical  So probably not :wack:

So if I just measure the discs i'll know what to order right?
Anyone got any part numbers please for both :)

They could also be the same as early Impreza's with sliding calipers (they had 277mm discs btw if thats any help),I know the pads for the 4pots are the same as the S14/14a so its possible I suppose?

Thats not what I said dummy! :p :D
What I said is that they could be the same as the early Impreza pads, the ones fitted with sliding calipers as the 4pot Impreza pads are the same as the S14/14a 4pot pads - was just applying the same logic :p

Rough measure, wheel still on, they look to be around 260 mm :wack:
Does that sound about right? Is there a more scientific way of measuring with out taking all the shizzle off?
Thats the discs BTW:)
Same as UKDM

Got the pad off at last and this is it. The top one is the one i've just removed, the bottom one is for a UK pre facelift S13. Anyone know what pad this is?

What year is the car dude? I imagine they changed over to the larger brakes at around the same time. Have you tried facelift pads yet? I'm sure someone would take a photo of one so you can compare if you ask nicely :)
They are Sunny pads

top one isn't off any UK s13, maybe a primera or something like that would be the same. a good motor factor will have a book full of pictures of pads you can compare it to :)

Cheers for all the help guys but they've now been id'ed. Although they are close to the 665 they arent the same. They're having to be special ordered from Japan:rolleyes: but at least I'll know what to order in future :)
So what are they then? would be useful info for anyone else in the future

It's late now so i'll get you some numbers tomorow. What brand do you prefer?

I'm home now and, as it's not 5.29, I can type more.
We have (several) and i'll have a look in them tomorrow and work out exactly what Nissan's they fit, as i'm sure they will fit loads.

This could be good then. I was told, by 2 differant people, that a set had never even been sold in the country and would have to be imported from Japan :wack:
If you reckon they are the ones post up some measurements and if necessary i'll whip one out again and take some measurements here :)

I had a look in my Unipart Catalogue and they definately looked the exact same shape, but i do have measurements on the pic  In fact Mark's pic has measurements to confirm.
What make do you want?
They only fit the afore mentioned car tbh

I dont understand what your talking about anymore mate :wack:
Those part numbers in the post above mine.....What shape pad are tehy? The 665 as shown on Marks most excellent picture or the ones in the picture of your 180 brakes:confused:
I knew i shouldn't have put that pic there etc
Ok, my 180 fr brakes are the same as UKDM (which bears no relevance to this conversation :wack: )
The bit you need to know............
The pic mark put up of the '665' pad is the correct one, yes?
It only seems to fit:-
'86-'91 sunny B12 chassis 1.6/1.8 DOHC
and some useful part no's:-

OK thats pretty cool. I may whip one of the pads out again and pop down to the local motor spares shop on monday with your numbers and see if any match up. Which of those would be the equivalent composition to a standard pad do you think?
I would guess they are all standard spec pads  :)

OK let me put it another way, is any one pad going to be obviously inferior to any other? You must have a preferance and a reason for that preferance other than working for someone with a vested interest :)
I don't believe any one of them would be any more effective than the others
Most standard pads will be of an equal standard nowadays. I suppose some might dust more than another but, hey ho, you've got black wheels :)
I, personally, am about to put Unipart pads on mine (and not because i want to tow the corporate line  ) because i know our pads are made by a very reputable manufacturer, you see Unipart are re-boxed products ;) , and they were on the shelf. I also have Blueprint discs, but i would fit any of them really.
I'm sure everybody has a personal preference, but for me the general rule is 'if it seems cheap, it probably is.

I went to the local motor factors and they can't identify them from the pics but they're confident they can if I take one in. I need to get the BMW taxed (next week) before I can physically strip them off and take them in  But I'll get there. If not Dan can get them from Japan
I've already done that for you.........
