View Full Version : Will a Renault 21 T3 fit?
My std T25 is about to give up the ghost I fear http://300zx.co.uk/200sx/ubb/frown.gif Its 37000 miles old and has spent most of those miles at over 13psi.
I get smoke when re-applying the throttle after a blast then over-run and more recently, smoke on idle or when pulling away from traffic lights etc...
I have the chance to get a T3 from a Ren 21 Turbo for no pounds and no pence! Are all T3's the same and will therefore bolt on with the right mods/kit?
I do know the 21 Turbos run a water cooled T3. Is this normal and will it cause a problem?
Sorry if this has been asked a million times before.
Nat.

Certainly am called Nathan!
Now..back to my T3 problem! LOL
your t25 should be water cooled aswell, just glue it on and wind it up http://300zx.co.uk/200sx/ubb/wink.gif
The turbo itself should be the same, but the manafold to turbo and turbo to exhaust may be different. I know the Escort RS Turbo (s2) T3 is very different from the one we need and different from a cosworth one. However If you are getting it for £0.00, snap it up anyway, and you may be able to pick the reqd bits up at a later date, if indeed they are actually needed.

OK, well if I get it and take some pretty detailed pics, would people be able to see if it was wildly different? Also, is there a cheaper way of getting it to fit than the £400+ from ND?? Seems a bit excessive to me.
Apologies again if this is a worn out topic.
