The only thing i see wrong with that post is the "fitting with ease" part..

But yeah, ive seen S14's with the 1JZGTE engine, and im pretty sure there are S13's with the same conversion, Dart Izumi Jnr. does it (its his S14 that ive seen.. sliding backwards into a wall.. ouch).

Not exactly practical though!

The problem I think. Everything thing is on the other side between the xJZ and RB/SR/CA engines - ie, from the front the turbos are on the left of the xJZ and the right on the Nissan ones.

The 1JZ is the predecessor to the 3.0 2JZ engine in the MKIV Supra. It's a 2.5l twin-turbo engine fitted to Soarers and a small number of JDM-only MKIII Supras. It uses a parallel turbo configuration as opposed to the sequential system found on the 2JZ, uses smaller but lighter turbos, and revs more easily than the 2JZ, with 10k+ being possible.

As for dropping into a 200, it has no advantage over using a RB25 or 26, other than price. Would be a lot harder to fit than an RB too.

Didn't the 1JZ have the funny and unusual vortices sensor for an air flow meter?

Remember £500 spent on these motors gets you 380hp!

I like to bloody know where he can source his parts from !!

I can well believe you could get that or close to that by maybe upping the boost a bit and fitting an exhaust and filter. I think thats pretty much the case with the Skyline as well.

380 horses with a new exhaust, filter and upped boost ? Surely not possible on an S13, maybe an S14... also, we talking fly or wheel ratings ? I hate quoting fly power cause it's never accurate

we're not talking about a CA or SR lump, we're talking about a JZE lump from a soupy or similar :)

As a percentage increase its the same as getting 230 bhp out of an S13 (I think, my maths isn't too brilliant). Which shouldn't be too expensive :)
