how many of you guys are thinking about going?
ill be organising a convoy up a little closaer to the times.
the guys from cornwall, we could meet you at exeter if you guys wanna go that way rather than coming up to plymouth first.
let me know what you guys think and how many of you are going.

initial thoughs for meeting places are:
somewhere in cornwall (suggestions please)
Plymouth
Exeter
then possibly meeting with the west country guys on the way depending on where they are meeting (waiting to hear back from pete c)
I'll be heading up from Lyme Regis (Devon/Dorset border) :)
What route are you thinking of taking? I was gonna see about not using the M5, as I reckon it'll be rammed from Brizzol
we will be going m5/m4.
its not been rammed the last four years ive been.
infact, last year was so quiet all the way to the gate we started to wonder if it was cancelled.

myself and claire are going with a few friends but we are going up the night before to stay in a travelodge hopefully. are you guys on a stand for the day?

i wont be on the stand, havent heard anyone else mention it.
we wil try and get a spot in the field somewhere to ourselves for all of us that arent on a stand.
ill deffo be up for this, i have missed a few japfests so lets hope i dont miss this one,

so its not deffo that you will be able to get on the track on the day,
but for all those who havent seen its on sat the 19th of may lol.
i would love to get back on the track but i need loads of things for the car (engine mounts, oil cooler, alighnment set up, ally rad, and prob a new gearbox soon too) so ill prob just be there with the misses to watch,
what sort of time you lot thinking of going, plymouth id meet :thumbs:
the public gates open at 9.
its a long day if you get there at or before 9 though.
so i was thinking about leaving plymouth at 7.30-8 ish, stopping at either exeter or bristol for food (depending on how many people are meeting us at exeter/if people want to stop again at bristol.
if we aim to get there somewhere around 10 it should be about spot on for day duration.

Exeter meet is definately fine, dont want to go into plymouth as its a much worse route for me :nod:

that sounds like a plan we can have our own stand in the carparking area around the ring if we all meet up some place outside the track. id be with claire and her 350z and a few other local jap guys...mr2 etc

Got a gig & party on the 18th May which will be going on till about 4am or so... which means muggins here won't be getting to bed until around 5am at the earliest. Tis a no for me.

Yea, the Japfest thread (now full) is in the members section :) as is all club events with stands/track time etc.
Was on the stand last year... a shady pic of my silvia got put in jap performance... i think it was pre :ghey: stickers... The only good thing about bein on the stand is you dont feel so worried about people nickin shit out of your car!
I'll be up for it though! And anyone from down the SW who sayes they cant go is :ghey: ... Im sure i posted up on another thread acceptable reasons for not attending club events?!?!

channie had my spot on the stand last year, we arrived at 10 is and he got a good spot
tbh, if you want a good spot you need to be there at 7am when the gates open for the guys with the trader and stand passes.

Would obviously go from Exeter but I think it'll be pushing it 2 b up and runnin 4 then. I'm sweating over 'Run 2 The Sun' the weekend after tbh, that's my fave summer event. :)

Dont go up with Pablo... he is a copper... he'll give you a ticket if you keep above the speed limit... he'll also try and dismantle your car if you leave it alone for 10 secs... and blow :ghey: bubbles at you!!!
Clouder park on the stand! Its a gauranteed parking space!!! Then come join us in the poor car park!!!

the stand was sold out ages ago.

There is a stand organised by the sxoc... but unless you have a stand ticket already the only way u'd got a spot is if somone pulls out!
A load of us dont have stand tickets so collecting then parking together in the carpark.
Your more than welcome to join us for the drive up etc!!! The more the merrier :sxoc:

I'm getting excited now :D ARBs and wheels should be on, get it polished up, and then try to get round the track in one bit :)
I guess we will sort out exact times in the next 2 weeks... but we will definately be going!

Right thought i'd bump this so we could finalise some times :nod:
Im thinking that 11 might be a little late considering the first 200sx track slot has now been confirmed for 9am :eek: but i think we can squash those times up a bit.
If we said Plymouth 07:00 then its only 32 miles to Exeter - so 45-50 mins i reckon. Then its the 100 miles to Bristol and Castle Combe, i reckon we'd be at Castle Combe for about 10 then..... what do people think? Remembering it may take a while to get in to Castle Combe, wouldnt want to get there at 11 and not in till 11:30, all the morning gone :)
Discuss :) (hope im not stepping on toes Simon, just thought it'd be cool to get some more input on this as its only next saturday :thumbs:)

Yea i'm keen to get there earlier than that but just assumed that those times were roughly what everyone wanted :confused:

well.
looks like i might not be going :( car decided it didnt like its coolant today and thought the road might like it instead.
plenty off smoke and lots of boiling coming from the back of the inlet manifold area so will have to try and get the engine out over the weekend to have a look.
im easy on the time you guys want to get up there.
im in no hurry to get up there, but if you guys want to leave early then we shall leave early :)
(although not pablo early, 3am :wack:)
If i cant get these bolts for my diff i aint goin anywhere!!!

I'm crossing my fingers that ARBs turn up, and more importantly, nothing goes wrong as it needs to be track ready - engine and gearbox oil change this week too :rolleyes:

sorry to hear about the engine mammoth....
between claire and i we have 1 spare ticket and 1 spare seat. we are going up the night before and have a travel lodge booked in stroud. my friend andy also got 2 tickets too many sent out to him if anyone needs one i can always ask.

as ive already said, we didnt see one car last year untill we arrived at the gate.
think we got there at about 10 ish.
you'll find it'll be busiest at the times when you guys want to get there as thats when all the stand people will be heading in.
