Hi Arry, you won't feel sleepy until it's time to get up
I have trouble getting to sleep on full moons  I don't get hairy tho just tired. Try taking 2 paracetamols with a hot toddy (hot water, whisky and honey) , or try NightNurse, they work for me.

I often use De stress from holland and barrett, thet do another one can't remember the name! but you just take two! hop and valerium based, if i realy have trouble i nick the miusses diazapam! she has them for her back! other than that see the quack for some heavy duty knock out pills!

I'm on nights and I'm looking forward to driving home in the morning, watching Penny Smith on GMTV and getting some zeds.

Think of me tucked up and toasty warm - it's f*cking freezing outside!:D :D :D

I spent 5 months getting up at 0345 then driving 159 miles to work.

Then driving back.......

Been there, done that etc.

Nights do (sometimes) have their advantages.

Mind you, last Thursday I caught a train at 0608 - f*ck that on a regular basis!

Been there mate, had periods of weeks and months were sleep doesn't happen properly - and if it did it wasn't good sleep, the sorta stuff that leaves you more tired at the end of the nite

I'd recommend getting 2 days off, and spending the first literally doing NOTHING that requires mental exertion. Dig the flower beds, wash the neighbour's car, plenty of physical stuff. Hot bath, hot toddy, bed with a good book...
THen jsut sleep through the second day! (hat sorta worked for me - sleeping pills don't do tooo much).

Or, there is a homeopathic remedy called VAlerian - that is VERY good. As is Melotonin which is lacking in bodies in winter.

that insomnia is a real sh1t, I went through several months of that several years back, you spend all night just lying there with your brain still switched on but kind of numb and spend the days still only half awake and numb. I ended up getting a course of tamazapan from the doc, that worked. Part of the trouble when you cant sleep is you develop a kind of paranioa that when you go to bed your not going to get to sleep and that weighs on your mind which basically becomes a self fullfilling prophecy. Paracetemols can sometimes help and maybe if you can go to bed with the attitude that its going to take a long time to get to sleep and just accept it, that might help. Nytol might help also. Could also try a load of some kind of physical exercise (eg a good long swim), herbal tea (eg camomile), lavenders scents and last (should have been first) rampant sex preferably with 2 or 3 gorgeous birds - at least if the last part happens it a fair bet that you are dreaming and therefore asleep!!

Good luck mate
