S13 Sub questions

Hi Fellas,
I've just bought a DEH7400MP which has a direct Sub output. Does this mean that I can power a sub directly from it or is it not quite as straight forward as that ?

Can anybody recommend a cheapish Sub/box/amplifier combo that I can use ?

The sub output on the headunit is a pre out you will still need an amp but it can be any kind of amp you like, no crossover is neccesary as the head unit will have already cut out the useless frequencies.

I use MCS-Direct for most of my gear they cover most of the majoy manufacturers and prices are very good.

The D Class Alpines are supposed to be top quality sub amps with enough power to drive any sub. The ALP-MRDM300
is a quality piece of kit. Just gotta choose your subs after that.
