View Full Version : Info on EVO 7's??
I've got a mate who's thinking of an EVO 7...the Parkers car chooser is down so I can't get any info off there for him :( and also Auto Trader doesn't have any search facilities for EVO's.
Does anyone know where I can find out info about the car - bhp etc? Also, does anyone have any links to EVO forums?
Cheers

Or this. http://www.lancerregister.com/bbs/index.php
Look at today's Auto Express
Its got the Evo 8. Released in March I think for 22K!!!
Its slightly more basic, something to do with introducing it to other markets(including US). This base version does not have the anti-yaw. But even the all bells and whistles version will be 2k less than the Evo 7
271bhp standard (passes US emissions), power upgrades available before it leaves the forecourt though to 300+bhp

They do seem to be getting softer though with each new model since the 6.
Have you seen the interior of the new Evo VIII - it looks remarkably similar to one from a transit van or a Daewoo!
I'll probably get cut down for this, but for me, buying a car is about numerous factors - one of them being the interior. I know its quick (ok, fcuking quick!), but the interior is cack and I wouldn't own one if it was my own money. I'd much rather have a second hand Skyline. The best Evo for me has to be be the VI - probably the nearest brother to the Rally version. I mean, where have those big fog/spot lights dissappeared to since the VI...and the performance seems to be getting slower...(still quick mind lol!)
VII handles the water spray automatically as well, where on the VI you have to press a button.
VII is a 'balls out' machine, and is a little annoying to drive in traffic or sedatly.
Factory performance pack gives 305-ish BHP and some carbon fibre trim
Service required every 4500 miles and new clutch about every 16000!
