Stereo fitting problem

Went to fit my new stereo to the car and plugged both sockets in ( the ones with lots of cables) and ariel cable in and nothing ? can any one shed some light

Checked the fuses?

Yeh the stereo was working before fitting as it was in my other car, whats the socket thng like the ariel plug for

Have you put the stereo back in the cage and reassembled it all?
I'll bet £100 you haven't ;)

The standard HU earths through the cage - you'll either need to slide it/screw it back in, or run an earth from the earth on the iso loom to somewhere in the car - gearstick surround screws are a good palce :)

I had the same problem. My stereo on my mondeo seems to earth through the aerial, so make sure that's plugged in too.

Checked again, one wire was loose in the connector block things, working fine now, :D just need to rebuild my console now
