Noticed in the 'real' internet thread that there were a few online players there. Anyone who reasnobly regularily plays those games post here and maybe we can have an SXOC deathmatch.

Also post the games you got.

Just bought MOHAA to play over Christmas. Can't play for too long though 'cos I get all stressed out by it! I'm up to the beach landing and it's pretty tough. Only got 56k though and I've never played over a network as I'm really not that good.

Counterstrike: ClingPhilm

Mainly on Warpcore Public (80.249.98.50:27015 - very quick) and CoolCaseMods (195.20.108.18:27040 I think - v. friendly, but often empty since they moved server)

Played MOHAA online a couple of times and it didn't really grab me - will have to try it again (will use the name ClingPhilm I guess)

On BF1942 I am General Anaesthetic (One of my borthers is Major Catastrophy)
On CS (I play it rarely these days) Me and my brothers change between the following:-
Maj. Man Mucus
Col. Cock custard
Lt. Leftesticle
Brig. Bollock
Sgt. Shot load
Master bates
Seaman Staines
Capt. Cum cannon
(all coz of a privete joke ages ago)


We could arrange a time to join one of the servers, join the same/different team and do some killing.

I've only got a 64K ISDN line, so no servers with more than 24 palyers.
Also, I tend to only use UK servers as the update for ~1000 servers takes about 10 mins on SC ISDN.

If you wanna sort a game online, count me in... any game, i dont care. I can't run a server, bw at home is too thin, but I can always borrow one if the games worthy enough :)

I think I am banned from the Blueyonder servers :eek: :(

I talked to their admin, and he checked the records and he had never even heard of the cheat I was supposed to have used :confused: and I am sure it occured even before I started playing online, but he said they don't reverse the banned decisions :(

And no, I have never cheated! Anybody who has seen me play will confirm that ;)

alternativly anyone got a cheap chip they wanna sell that's a direct 'socket A' fit

seen BF1942 round a mate's house... looks like a real laugh on broadband... become a kamikaze-special forces soldier: fly out to US ship, dive bomb it, and at last minute bail out, swim to ship, shoot US troops onboard! class!

can't wait til games start appearing for PS2.

If you can upgrade ur BIOS on ur motherboard to take the newer AthlonXP processors with the 133MHz FSB, then ur looking at less than £100 all in for a 2100XP Processor. You'll need to go for a newer GFX card aswell, though.

thx for that i'll look into it. was wanting to upgrade, just want to keep as many parts as possible from my original system. new graphics card has been looked at, but that was using my exsisting motherboard an chip.

Well there appear to be a lot of us playing CS, that looks like the easiest solution. Anyone care to suggest we get together one evening. Easiest solution might be for one of us to host a voicecom system (e.g. Roger Wilco), the rest to join, then we go find a server.
