Sure I remember reading somewhere that the maximum amount you were legally obliged to accept in coppers was about 30p?

Why didn't you watch them count the whole lot out in front of you and then say "i'm sorry we only take coppers up to the value of 20p"

When I was a student I had a PT job in a petrol station.

One busy Saturday morning this Italian bloke in an Ice-Cream van wanted to pay for £8 worth of 4 star in penny pieces.

When I refused he started arguing with me and eventually said "EY, I'm Italiaaan, I rip your fcukiiing head off".

So I dialled 999 and told plod I was being threatened with my life. I kid you not, within 4 minutes 4 pigmobiles had arrived on the forcourt lights blazing sirens at full whistle.

Never seen the colour drain from someone as quickly as it did from Mr Whippy that day.:D

Funnily enough he never came back to the garage :p

With something like that, its not like u can go and put the petrol bacl on the shelf, like u can in wollies or sainsburys
